Scouting Report:

Ahmed Hamdy is a very intriguing big man prospect. A native of Egypt, Hamdy played on club teams growing up in Alexandria, Egypt. He was also a member of multiple U19 Egyptian National teams before coming to the United States for high school and college. He played one year at the Junior College level before playing at NCAA1 institutions Virginia Commonwealth and Texas Christian University. At 6’9” 235 pounds he is a very imposing force on both ends of the floor. He is very athletic for his size. He gets up and down the floor really well, has a high basketball IQ and feel for the game. He can step out and hit a 12-15 foot jump shot consistently. Good defender who is not afraid to bang around in the post. Really high upside for Ahmed! He has a chance to be a really good pro for a long time!
