Andrew Smith is an absolute unique find at the Center position. At 6’10” 275 pounds, Smith is a dominating physical presence down low but has an unbelievable skillset for someone his size! Andrew has tremendous footwork and probably has the best hands of any big you will ever see. He catches everything within his reach. He has professional level post moves coming out of college and they will only continue to get better as he shapes his body. He has the ability to step out and shoot the 3 pointer (shot nearly 33% as a Senior). Even has shown the ability to break down other Centers off the dribble and get to the rim. He is an excellent passer and sees the floor so well. On the defensive end, he has gotten better every single season rebounding the basketball. Also has shown a great improvement in his shot blocking skills which could make him a much bigger impact on a professional team’s defensive scheme. His Senior year he averaged a double-double with 16.9 PPG and 10.4 RPG. Andrew scored over 1,000 points in just two seasons at Campbellsville, an NAIA power. He only played 3 full seasons of college basketball and barely any in high school due to recurring injuries. His last two seasons of college he played at full strength and averaged well over 30 Minutes Per Game. Definitely a late bloomer who is going to continue to keep getting better and better. He is poised to have a big professional career and we see the sky Is truly the limit with Andrew!
