Scouting Report:

Nayib Casimiro is an interesting young prospect. Coming from the beautiful island of Belize, Nayib has lacked the traditional skill development we see of many Americans coming thru the ranks. However, coming from a tiny village in Hopkins, Belize, Nayib is a natural with a ton of potential. He started playing in the professional basketball league of Belize, the NEBL, at the age of 17. He has spent the majority of his early career in the NEBL developing his game and getting used to playing against professional veterans. At 6’3”, he has always been long and lanky, but now he is filling into his frame and can become more physical in the league. Now, he is developing into one of those veterans and his minutes will continue to rise in the NEBL. Casimiro is considered one of, if not the best U21 player in all of Belize and has a chance to make the men’s National Team in the near future. He is raw at this stage of his career but has a ton of room to grow. He will continue to get better in the NEBL over the next couple of seasons and make the transition to the next level in due time. We feel that he can and will become one of the best players in all of Belize in the very near future. We look forward to working with Nayib and watching his progress.
