Scouting Report:

Omar Sherman is an absolute monster down low. A highly heralded recruit coming out of high school, Sherman chose the University of Miami to attend college. He started 10 games as a true Freshman and had a major impact on a team that went to the NIT Finals. He then decided to go the JUCO route and dominated at Paris Community College in Texas before transferring to Louisiana Tech. After a solid season at Louisiana Tech followed by a redshirt, he took his talents to NAIA powerhouse William Penn. At Penn, he was a 2nd Team All-American selection. He is an extremely strong, left handed big man. He dunks everything around the rim and has great footwork. Runs the floor really well and finishes in transition. He has the ability to step out to the 3 point line and knock down a jumper or take someone off the dribble. Could be a big time matchup problem for someone at the next level. On the defensive end, he is a big time shot blocker and rebounder. Plays very physical and makes his presence known. Omar will be a great pro once he gets started and his pure talent will definitely show. We are looking forward to seeing Omar progress!
